At Short Strides, we don’t just believe in change—we walk alongside those creating it. This Strides Report highlights two of the many organizations we partner with across the Asia-Pacific Rim: two small orphanages in Indonesia and community sewing schools in South Asia. These ministries may not have large budgets or global platforms, but they are rich in compassion and purpose. Through your support, Short Strides is helping provide training, encouragement, and resources to leaders on the ground—offering real hope in places the world often overlooks.
From Hardship to Hope
In Indonesia we work with two small orphanages. Because of Love Orphanage and Kind Hearted Orphanage are compassionately reshaping the futures of dozens of vulnerable children. These children now have a chance to grow up in safe, loving environments where dedicated staff and quality education opens doors to a brighter future. Short Strides partners with these leaders to provide project funds, training, and support—helping ensure a more hopeful future for these children.

A Stitch of Hope
In parts of South Asia, many young women from minority communities face a future marked by poverty, limited education, and vulnerability to exploitation. The Dorcas Sewing Schools provide a safe and structured environment where these women can receive hands-on training in clothing design and sewing. These are skills that offer a practical way to support themselves and their families. Each school operates as a small boarding community, offering basic food, shelter, education, and a place to grow. Short Strides partners with these schools to help strengthen the educational structure and provide resources that give these women something they’ve rarely had before: dignity, and a chance to build a stable, self-sustaining future.
