

Sarah Parris
Sarah Parris brings two decades of experience in early childhood and elementary education to her role on the Short Strides Board of Directors. She holds an associate degree in Children Studies and Child Care and a bachelor’s degree in Practical Training from Bob Jones University. Throughout her career, she has taught in a variety of educational settings, including over six years at Bob Jones Academy. Her strengths in classroom instruction, curriculum implementation, and student development have equipped her to support children at the most foundational stages of learning.
Now serving as a full-time curriculum writer for BJU Press, Sarah plays a key role in developing educational materials used by schools and homeschool families worldwide. Her deep understanding of how children learn—combined with her creative approach to course development—aligns with Short Strides' commitment to creating accessible, engaging resources for young learners in underserved communities. Her passion for education and heart for children make her a vital voice in guiding the mission of Short Strides.
